Maria Sharapova celebrates her 24th birthday with a three-tiered "pretty in pink" birthday cake at Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas over the weekend.

"I want to thank all my fans for all their Happy Birthday wishes," the tennis champ wrote on Facebook. "I am having a great day surrounded by family and friends!"

Maria Sharapova, a three-time Grand Slam tennis champ, is engaged to Los Angeles Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic.

The 26-year-old hoops star made the announcement just before his Lakers took on the Golden State Warriors in an exhibition game on Thursday night in San Diego, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Vujacic said he popped the big question to Sharapova, a 23-year-old Russian, at his Manhattan Beach, California home on the one-year anniversary of the duo's first meeting at a friend's barbeque.

Vujacic said Sharapova said "yes" to his "old-school" proposal.

"I had to do it like a gentlemen…We are both really happy," he told the paper.

A wedding date has not been set.
